Church in the Peak Chesterfield is run by a leadership team of three, led by Dave Newman.

“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.” 1 Peter 5: 2-3 (NIV)

Dave Newman

Dave & Gaynor joined Church in the Peak Matlock in 2008, having moved to Bakewell from South Yorkshire in order to be nearer to Dave’s work. Gaynor is now retired from being a Sister in District Nursing and Dave now works here as the lead elder. Dave has been involved in various aspects of ministry in the past and Gaynor has been involved in two overseas missions with Mission Direct. Dave is a very keen golfer and also follows non-league football.

Adrian Knight

Adrian & Ginny and his family moved to Chesterfield in 2006 to help plant the church. He serves on the leadership team, leads worship and is developing a worship team. He enjoys parties (especially fancy dress), eating with friends and walks in the countryside.

Stuart Cuthbert

Stuart & Isobel have been Christians for nearly 15 years. He became a Christian on an Alpha Course run by the church and is now a leader. Stuart is leading the church in outreach among the poor and disadvantaged. Stuart loves to play golf.

The church works alongside Matt Patridge in Oxford and gets further oversight from Simon Holley (Catalyst).
